Making barley stew, snake buckles and coins for our Anglo Saxon whole class reading!
Ash Class have been studying a non fiction text for their whole class guided reading sessions. Along the way, we have created many Anglo Saxon items including our shields that we made recently.
Barley stew
Making snake buckles
We used air dry clay to create snake buckles (like they used in Anglo Saxon times) to keep their clothes up!
Coins
We used two bits of cardboard, metallic paint, metallic pens and glue to make our own coins. We put a design on there that represented ourselves.

Miss Curtis cut out us some cardboard into circles that we could make into a shield. Miss Moffat got us some shiny silver card for the middle of the shield. Then we painted it and put the handle on.

Making shields
Miss Curtis was cutting out cardboard for us to make shields out of. What we did first was make the silver bit in the centre of the shield. Then we painted it, my friend Chloe and I's were amazing at least that's what we thought. Our photos were brilliant.
